Description
Form: Liquid, 10ml multi-use vial | Purity: Sterile, 0.9% benzyl alcohol | Storage: Room temperature
What It Is
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a preservative that inhibits bacterial growth. It is the standard solution used to reconstitute lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides in research settings.
What It Does
Bacteriostatic water dissolves lyophilized peptide powder into a usable solution. Because of the added benzyl alcohol, the vial can be accessed multiple times while helping prevent bacterial contamination, unlike single-use sterile water.
How It Works
The benzyl alcohol preservative suppresses the growth of most bacteria after the vial is opened, which allows the same vial to be used over multiple draws when proper sterile technique is followed.
Who Benefits Most
Anyone working with lyophilized peptide vials. Every peptide in the Smart Stack lineup requires reconstitution before use.
Cautions
Store at room temperature away from direct light. Discard if the solution becomes cloudy or discolored. Not for use in neonates.
Pairs Well With
Every Smart Stack peptide vial. We recommend keeping at least one vial on hand with each order.
Quality and Sourcing
