What It Is
Kisspeptin is a neuropeptide produced in the hypothalamus that acts as the master regulator of the reproductive hormone axis. It is the primary trigger for GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) release, which drives LH, FSH, testosterone, and estrogen production.
What It Does
Kisspeptin stimulates GnRH release, which increases LH and FSH, which in turn drive testosterone and estrogen production. It supports libido and sexual function in both men and women and has been studied for hypogonadism and fertility.
How It Works
Kisspeptin binds to KISS1R receptors on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus, triggering a cascade that activates the entire reproductive hormone axis through the body’s own regulatory system.
Who Benefits Most
Men and women with low libido. Men with low testosterone who want to support natural production. Couples working on fertility. People with functional hypogonadism related to stress, overtraining, or caloric restriction.
Cautions
Use under practitioner supervision. Effects on the reproductive axis are significant. Not for use during pregnancy. Not recommended for people with hormone-sensitive cancers.
Pairs Well With
