What It Is

Melanotan II (MT-II) is a synthetic analog of alpha-MSH that activates multiple melanocortin receptors including MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, and MC5R. It is more potent and less selective than MT-I, producing stronger tanning effects alongside sexual function and appetite effects.

What It Does

MT-II stimulates melanin production for tanning and UV protection, increases sexual desire and arousal (through MC4R), reduces appetite, and has anti inflammatory effects.

How It Works

MT-II activates MC1R in melanocytes for tanning, MC3R and MC4R in the hypothalamus for sexual function and appetite regulation, and MC5R for various peripheral effects.
